An attractive and rarely seen member of the poppy family. Each plantproduces branched stems that bear large, deep yellow, nodding,poppy-like flowers against attractive grey-green foliage. Adds heightand interest to borders.
Can be sown March to May as an annual or sown in September to flower the following year as a biennial.

Sowseeds thinly in shallow drills 30cm (12in) apart in well-cultivatedsoil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Thin out seedlings to 30cm(12in) apart when large enough to handle
Alternatively, sow late summer direct in drills as above if you livein the south of the country. If you live in the cooler northern partsof the country, sow late summer in 7.5cm (3in) pots in a coolgreenhouse and then overwinter plants in a coldframe. Plant out thefollowing spring after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart.
